Vancouver Christmas Market 2026: Dates, Tickets and What's New at Jack Poole Plaza
Dates, prices and door rules for the 16th Vancouver Christmas Market at Jack Poole Plaza, plus the 16 other winter markets worth a trip across Metro Vancouver.
Por Marisol DelfinEating Vancouver from Richmond outward

The hand-carved alpine carousel at Jack Poole Plaza is two storeys high and lit gold, the white sails of Canada Place behind it. This is the 16th Vancouver Christmas Market, open 16 Nov to 24 Dec 2026, and single entry starts at $7.99.
Jack Poole Plaza and the Vancouver Christmas Market
The Vancouver Christmas Market sets its wooden huts into alleys along the waterfront at Jack Poole Plaza, with the North Shore mountains across the inlet. It is the only full Nuremberg-style market in the city core, and if you have one evening in Vancouver, spend it here.

Every ticket carries a timed 30-minute arrival window, but once you are through the gate you can stay as long as you like. Weekend evenings are shoulder-to-shoulder, so book a weekday slot.
An individual season pass is $32.99 and a family pass $74.99. Parties of 15 or more get 20% off, applied automatically at checkout, on tickets priced $19.99 and up.

Free markets at the Shipyards and in Langley
The Shipyards Christmas Market in Lower Lonsdale lines more than 90 red-trimmed timber chalets along a working shipyard quay, under floodlit yellow gantry cranes. Santa's chalet and an outdoor ice rink sit beside Burrard Inlet. It runs 27 Nov to 24 Dec 2026 with more than 120 vendors.

Entry, the skating and the Santa photos all cost nothing, there are no tickets and no time slots, and nothing else in Metro Vancouver gives you this much for free. The SeaBus from downtown drops you a two-minute walk away, and the crossing is sightseeing in itself. A paid Foodie Tour is sold separately at $90 per person.
Langley Christmas Village closes a block of Fraser Highway and fills it with timber chalets under a 36-foot illuminated tree. It is new for 2026, runs 26 Nov to 24 Dec, and comes from the producer behind the Shipyards market. Entry is free. Pop-up curling sheets sit on the ice beside the mulled-wine stands, bookable at $90 an hour for up to eight players a sheet, and the curling is what makes the Fraser Valley trip worth it.

Three million lights at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds
Noël Festival with Bright Nights strings three million lights across the Cloverdale Fairgrounds. A 50-foot Ferris wheel turns above the Noël Village chalets and a heated market pavilion of 9,000 square feet. It runs 27 Nov to 29 Dec 2026, the only entry here that keeps going past Christmas Day.

Weekday tickets are $24 adult, $18 senior and youth; weekend tickets are $27 and $20. Under-6s go free and parking is included. More than 20 vendors trade in the pavilion, so come for the lights and take the stalls as a bonus. The heated pavilion and lounge hold a crowd in bad weather. Bright Nights is a charity partner event.
Big indoor halls for makers

Circle Craft Holiday Market takes the glass-walled harbourfront hall of the Vancouver Convention Centre West, where float planes land beyond the window wall and the North Shore mountains fill it. More than 315 Canadian makers trade down the long aisles. If you are shopping seriously, this is the stop of the season.
The window is five days, 11 to 15 Nov 2026, at the very start of the calendar. Adult entry is $16, $12 for seniors and youth, and under-12s go free. The early-bird adult ticket is $12 online, and entry after 5 p.m. Wed to Fri is half price. You walk in, with no time slot and no door policy.
Make It! Vancouver fills the raw PNE Forum hangar with 250 maker booths, neon hand-painted stall signage below exposed steel roof trusses and strung festoon lights. It runs 10 to 13 Dec 2026, the latest-running big indoor market of the season. Early-bird tickets start at $10. A kids' interactive zone and food trucks sit alongside the booths, which suits a mixed-age party.

Weekend makers markets around the city
Got Craft Holiday Market packs 100 makers onto tables across the Croatian Cultural Centre's parquet-floored hall on Commercial Drive, with a free DIY craft station inside and food trucks lined up in the car park. It opens two weekends, 21 to 22 and 28 to 29 Nov 2026. One weekend is $5.72, both are $9.74. The first 50 shoppers each day take a swag bag, so arrive at opening. The Mini Makers Area is given over to vendors under 16. No market on this calendar feels more local.

Portobello West Holiday Market fills Yaletown's Roundhouse engine shed with 70 BC designers' tables of fashion and jewellery, brick and industrial roof trusses above, CPR Engine 374 standing in its glass pavilion behind the stalls. It opens 28 to 29 Nov 2026, the 20th-anniversary edition of Vancouver's longest-running independent makers market. Entry is $5 at the door, $6.66 online, and under-12s go free. It trades indoors, rain or shine, a short walk from downtown hotels, and the locomotive costs nothing to see.
Toque Craft Fair sets more than 65 BC makers' textiles and ceramics on trestle tables under bare bulbs inside the Western Front, a century-old wooden artist-run heritage building on East 8th Avenue. The lodge-hall interior is half the reason to go. It runs 4 to 6 Dec 2026. Entry at the door is $5, free for under-12s, and a $15 supporter ticket includes a tote. The staircase creaks and the stairs are tight, so go in twos and threes.

A Shaughnessy mansion and a Steveston net shed
Hycroft for the Holidays opens a 1909 Edwardian mansion in Shaughnessy, with 40 artisan tables set between marble fireplaces in an oak-panelled ballroom swagged with cedar garlands and a grand staircase at its centre. It runs 26 to 29 Nov 2026. Tickets are $22.73 to $28.07, and children under 12 go free. Rooms flow narrowly from one to the next. This is a 50-year Vancouver tradition, and you are paying for the house as much as for the artisans, which is why it holds up for a visitor from overseas.

Steveston Christmas Craft Fair runs the length of an 1890s wooden Net Shed by the Steveston fishing docks in Richmond, up to 125 vendor tables under open timber rafters, trawlers tied up on the Fraser outside. It opens Saturday 28 Nov 2026. Entry is by donation, cash or card, and nobody is turned away at the door. Parking is badly limited on the day, so come by transit or on foot. Pair it with the Steveston boardwalk and you get the best half-day of any one-day market here.

Community fairs on single weekends

Deer Lake Winter Craft Festival runs 13 to 15 Nov 2026 at the Shadbolt Centre, a cedar-and-glass arts complex in the bare winter woods beside Deer Lake. More than 50 Burnaby-area makers set up between studio doorways and live musicians play in the foyer. Entry is free, with no ticket and no door policy at all, and parkland parking is ample. Get it done before the downtown markets open.

Nikkei Craft Fair takes the Nikkei National Museum's pale-wood atrium in Burnaby on 14 to 15 Nov 2026, above a sunken Japanese garden. More than 80 makers lay out indigo textiles, stationery and handmade jewellery under clerestory light. The stock has a Japanese-Canadian slant and is the most distinctive on this calendar. Entry is $5 a day. Members, over-65s and under-18s go free, and members and seniors are let in 30 minutes early. Capacity is limited and Saturday 14 Nov has sold out, so target the Sunday and book ahead.
Swedish Christmas Fair (Julmarknad) opens the Scandinavian Community Centre's blue-and-yellow hall in Burnaby on 21 to 22 Nov 2026, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Straw julbock goats and Dala horses sit along the tables. Volunteers of the Swedish Cultural Society run it, and glögg steams in urns beside saffron buns in the café. The café and the glögg are charged on top of a small door fee that is not published anywhere, so bring cash.

Dunbar Holiday Craft Fair packs a west-side community centre gymnasium on Saturday 21 Nov 2026, in its 42nd year, with more than 140 hand-selected vendor tables filling the floor. Advance tickets are $5 and $7 at the door; buy the advance one rather than queueing. The hall gets dense by midday, so go early. An outdoor tree lighting on Dunbar Street closes the day at 4 p.m., with the crowd standing in the dark.

Five weeks of gallery shopping in Port Moody
Blackberry Winter Arts Market turns PoMoArts' white-walled gallery on St Johns Street into a shop from 19 Nov to 22 Dec 2026. Ceramics stand on plinths, framed originals hang salon-style, and textiles and ornaments lie on low tables. Entry is free and the artwork is priced individually. It is the longest-running and calmest market here, and the work on the walls is original art. The opening reception on 19 Nov, 6 to 8 p.m., is busy; go on a quiet weekday afternoon instead.

Planning notes
The Jack Poole Plaza huts and the Shipyards quay both close on 24 Dec, and the Cloverdale lights keep running to 29 Dec. Book the arrival window downtown and a Sunday ticket for the Nikkei fair.
